For those who have Canon Canoscan, I need some help. I have a Canon Canoscan 8600. I want to scan slides but I can't figure out how. The troubleshooting says to select "film" from the dropdown menu but it isn't listed. What am I doing wrong?

The slide show stops after the first picture then it starts to show pictures on the computer but not the specific pictures I'm looking for.

Sorry, couldn't think of a dumber question :P

Anyway, for the past my PC has been screwing up lately. It wouldn't let me play my game, it keeps coming up with the BsoD, now it says it has extremely low disk space. So I try to fix that "problem" and delete all this stuff, once I do that, it says it's all better now, like say it said theres about 104 MB space now. But all of a sudden, it says it's low again and says theres 40 MB and it won't let me do photoshop.

I've downloaded nothing, my crap scanner finds nothing wrong (Ad-Aware doesn't fix anything for me). All I need to know is why my Disc thing is being so stupid.

Sorry, I'm just a kid- I'm still in my teens and I'm having a little grumpy mood so don't tell me to calm down.

I have windows 98 and suddenly my incredimail won't open.I've tried reinstalling it,I've scanned for viruses and still nothing.Someone suggested maybe I could have a Trogin or I could be missing a dll file or something.HELP PLEASE

I just bought a brand new HP computer with Vista installed and a brand new HP all-in-one printer, as well. I can get the fax, copy and printing to all work, but the darn thing refuses to scan a picture into my computer. I've already gone to the manufacturer's website and uploaded the patch to make the "printer" to work with Vista, restarted my system about a billion and a half times, and made sure all of the programming was correct, but the scan function still refuses to do its job. Anyone out there have any ideas?

Yesterday I had deleted all the files my scanner had said that were infected and then it said my computer was safe but with one file said to be in danger but just now it got infected again and now i have to get rid of it again. but just after that I just got rid of it with a final scan with showing that nothing was infected again. Will it come back? How does it keep coming back? Is it a very serious virus that will affect my other users or will it just affect me? I need helpto get rid of it for good! Oh and if your going to answer my question, please answer all of them please or just say you don't know. Thanks!

I have a brand new Mustek Scanmagic 600cu scanner that I have installed correctly into my computer. When I go to control panel I can check it by doing a test and it fires up and tests ok. But how do I scan something? Theres no buttons on it and opening and closing the lid does nothing.
Help appriciated.

How do you use the scanner?? I can scan and print, and I can copy, but how do I scan something and save it on my computer, so I can e-mail the image to someone?? How do I save it?? What should I do?? Please help!!!

I lost my ac adapter for my scanner which needs 12 volts @ 1.25 amps...I have and adapter that uses .75 amps and another that uses 300mA...can I used one of these safetly or should I just go out and purchase one?

I have an HP C3180 All In One. When I scan images, they get saved in C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Owner\Local Settings\Temp\~Dest\0001iw\

That's just crazy! How the hell am I going to find my images there? LOL

Can somebody please tell me how to automatically have my scanned in images get saved in something more reasonable like My Scans or My Documents folder or something like that?
