Sorry, couldn't think of a dumber question :P

Anyway, for the past my PC has been screwing up lately. It wouldn't let me play my game, it keeps coming up with the BsoD, now it says it has extremely low disk space. So I try to fix that "problem" and delete all this stuff, once I do that, it says it's all better now, like say it said theres about 104 MB space now. But all of a sudden, it says it's low again and says theres 40 MB and it won't let me do photoshop.

I've downloaded nothing, my crap scanner finds nothing wrong (Ad-Aware doesn't fix anything for me). All I need to know is why my Disc thing is being so stupid.

Sorry, I'm just a kid- I'm still in my teens and I'm having a little grumpy mood so don't tell me to calm down.

May I ask what operating system are you using and the game you're playing? If you're using xp, the default to give a low disk space warning is 128mb. So even if you deleted to 104mb, it should still give a warning. Also, some games do require disk space as temporary memory storage while running. It's best if you can clear your disk to give more space.

first of all, it's probably your paging file, but i wouldnt screw around with that.

secondly adaware wont get rid of junk files. download 12 ghost wash from www.download.com and it will!

thirdly windows requires 250mb of free space just to run!

and forthly, paint shop probably needs some hard drive space to start up!

i advise you to get a dvd re writer and back big files that you dont use onto dvd. or get a new hard disk drive. internal ones are pretty cheap. but external ones are better, you dont have the hassle of putting them in (if your case/motherboard can take a new drive) and if your forced to reinstall windows at a later stage, all the stuff on teh external drive will still be there!

Un-installing a few programs you dont use will help create some space on your disk drive. Windows uses virtual memory and when you open multiple programs together, all fight for memory and when they dont find it, use your disk.
Simple solution - run very few programs together
Expensive solution - get a bigger hard disk and more memory
