THe printer I have used to print, but all of a sudden it just stopped. Everything is ok. THere's paper loaded in the tray, there's still ink, it's connected to the computer, and the computer knows that it's there, but it won't print. When I go to print a page, the computer looks like it's preparing to print, but it never does.

Is there something wrong with the system?

I reinstalled windows & lost everything, now i can't use my printer. I don't remember if it came w/ an instillation cd or not, but if it did, I can't find it. Any way to get the printer working again. I've been to http://support.lexmark.com but don't know exactly what I'm looking for?

As I'm considering buying one of them.
I'm interested as to whether those two brands are reputable and good when it comes to parts and service, particulary in regional Australia.

I've recently been employed by a company that for part of the job - requires me to reproduce art work which consists mainly of sketch's with the occasional color additive. I know a decent amount when it comes to printers; I know a high resolution laser printer capable of micro printing and color replication is what I'm looking for. My budget for this printer is around $500. I've looked around at Circuit City, Best Buy, and CompUSA and don't see any laser printers that offer more than a 600x600 dpi print. Could anyone recommend me either a specific printer to think about, or some other company that offers better?

I have an Epson cx6400. Recently, I loaded new ink cartridges. It took a little bit of jiggling the printer to make it accept the re-used cartridges, but the printer ink level window shows that they are now full 100%. My printer does not print. The nozzle check prints a blank sheet and I have run the head cleaner. I have also turned the printer off and on.

Was leaking and using excessive inks, so I tried to clean the pads where the cartirage holder docks (right side).
Put in new ink cartirages and the cartirage holder will not return to docking position.
Green and orange lights blink.
Cartirage holder remains stationery and stays where it is manually put.
Have tried a new USB Cable.
I was careful ... but may have moved something when trying to clean the pads where cartirage holder docks

I've tried to get rid of the streaks by cleaning the printer, cleaning the heads, aligning it (though I'm not sure if that matters...or if just one of those "tests" is throwing the whole thing off), and the ink is brand new. Anyone have any ideas?

The printer was not turned on, but was plugged in. The power to the house went out and then came right back on. The next time I went to use the printer...nothing. I can only assume it took a surge but am wondering if I replace the AC power adapter if it will work again. Is the printer itself blown or just the power supply since the printer wasn't on?

I know that most replies would say to buy a new cartridge which cost as much as a printer. Is there something to attempt to give a second life to a dry cartridge?

i want printer service

2007-10-07 07:23:23 · 1 answers · asked by saravanan s 1

I need a printer that can at the very least print black and white and color. It needs to be simple to set up and use and print at a reasonable rate and most importantly be reliable. Also must have usb connection not serial as it's for use with a laptop. Photo printing would be great but I can live without it.

Thanks for your help.

I have a Lexmark Z1300 printer and recently expended the ink that came with the printer when it was new. A friend of mine gave me a refill kit and I have used similar kits on other printers successfully before. I refilled the cartridge and the software keeps insisting that the cartridge is empty and refuses to let the printer print. Can this feature be defeated? How do I do it?

Thanks

It's nothing major, but does a laser printer use more power than an inkjet? I have an HP Laserjet 4200 series about 2 months old.

I followed all the instructions on the big sheet that comes with it, uninstalled and reinstalled it, rebooted the hard drive, bought a new USB cable in case the problem rested with the old one, and when I try to print with it, I keep getting an error message saying basically the computer and printer can't talk to each other, to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. Did that, no dice. I plugged the printer directly into a wall socket instead of a power bar, no difference. I do know there is a problem in device manager, where there is no USB printing support. I tried updating the driver for that and Windows won't update it, it says it's the best one available. I'm using XP Home and Lexmark is supported by XP.

I tried Lexmark tech support, they couldn't help me.

This is driving me crazy. How do I get USB printing support?
