There is a linksys usb 4 port switch that you can buy. This enables you to hook your printer up and connect to 4 computers. Granted the computers all must have network cards to accomplish this. The aforementioned usb hub in the prior answer can be accomplished even with an older pc. You just need to purchase a parrallel to usb adapter in addition to the usb hub.

Network.

Connect the 2 Computer via a Network and share the Printer. This way the Printer can be connected to 1 PC but you can Print from both Computers. If you have a Router, Connect both PCs via a Ethernet cable to the Router. If you don't have a router, connect the 2 PCs via a Ethernet cable. Setup a Home Network in Control Panel , make shore you use the same Network name.

How old is the printer ? Does it have a USB and a parallel port in the back of it?- If so, the parallel port can be connected to a computer that still has a parallel (printer) port, while the USB connector can then be connected to ther other computer. Install the software for the printer on both computers and it should work fine.

Depending on the age of the computer(s) and printer, you can get something called an "A-B switch box" for older computers, or, if all the units are newer and have USB connections, then get something called a "USB Hub". Either type runs between $5 and $50, depending on the "bells-and-whistles" and from where you buy it.

The link below is for a webpage that is a little difficult to read and navigate, but it gives good info; read the middle area from the top, down, then click on the "Next" link; repeat as needed, or until you become completely confused! ;)

Any computer or office supply/retailer can help you with this.
