I have a VGA (next to a DVI) slot on my PC for monitor input, and a VGA slot called 'PC input' on my LCD TV.

When I connect both with a VGA cable and select 'PC input' on my TV, it says no signal, any idea why this doesn't work? Thanks

I have a desk top computer that was purchased about 4 years ago. I've upgraded it as much as possible, adding both RAM and HD memory to the unit's capacity. Although slower and bulkier than the new computers, it's fine for what I do, except for one thing. Lately, the picture on the monitor shakes and sometimes slips down, usually without any sort of vibration happening in the room. I think it need to be levelled somehow, because if i move the monitor (not the base it's sitting on) back and forth or up and down, I can get the picture to straighten up. I've tried moving the whole base slightly, and checked all connections, but this keeps happening. Sometimes I have to press down on the top of the monitor to settle the picture just so I can finish whatever i"m working on. Any ideas on how I can permanently level this monitor so the problem will stop? Thanks!

I am sick and tired of people coming in my office and fingering my monitor. Today I hurt someone's feelings because he poked my monitor to point something out and I quipped "don't touch". He got his feelings hurt and looked like he dropped the soap in prison because I barked at him. The sad thing is the people that do it the most are engineers and other managers. I actually paid for my 24" Samsung LCD out of my pocket(my company would only allocate for an analog 19" Dell and it was trash), and I DETEST people pushing on the screen, not only in fear of damaging the pixels, but I don't want their greasy paw prints on it either. Oddly enough my 9 year knows better than to finger the screens.

I've tried notes, barking, and anything else I can think of. I've been contemplating putting up a sign that reads "if you touch my monitor, you will die of a horrible death" but wasn't sure if that was going too far. Any ideas?

A few weeks ago I noticed the lcd display started to have a red tinge to it. Now, every 5 seconds or so, the screen goes so dim that it looks black. If I push in the little button that gets pushed in when you close the screen, it will come back to a bright display, but a few seconds later it will go black. Is my monitor dying?

Hello,
I am trying to connect my MacBook to my Magnavox TV. I have a MacBook NOT a MacBook Pro.

I believe this is the cord that I need:
http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=6C04E0F6&nplm=M9319G%2FA

Are there any other cords that I need other than this one, I believe so because there are no cords that would connect from the T.V. to the adapter piece.

Could someone show me a picture of the cord that I need or show me a link where to purchase the cord that I need?

Also,
If it makes a diffrence these are the following outputs on the back of the magnavox:
D-Sub
S-Video
coaxial
and those three ports (yellow, white, and red) for ps2.wii, etc.

I have both my monitors connected using a cable that connects both of my monitors together which is then connected to the monitor port. This makes both monitors have the same image so is there any way to expand the desktop without the use of a graphics card?

We have several monitors at home which double up as a tv. when i plug my laptop to them, everything seems fine (the monitor displays the laptop icons, programmes and images just like they appear on the laptop itself), but when I try to watch a movie that is playing on the laptop on the tv screen, the area where the film should appear just stays black. dvds played on the laptop don't show up either.

Without my understanding my desktop and everything on it rotate to the left by 90 degree and I can't solve the problem. I tried to read the manuals and documentation of the computer but nothing is stated on it. I don't even know the problem is a hardware or software problem. So, is there who can help me to solve this problem?
