Firslty i wanted to know what refresh rate should i set it to because right now its on 75hz so is that alright or not. My screen resolution is at 1280X1024. My DPI is set to 96dpi so is that ok or not. And what other things should i set up so that my monitor works properly. Mainly im worried about the refresh rate. So can you please tell me what is the refresh rate which i set my monitor to and any other things i need to look out for.

I can't see the START bar in the monitor just the background thats all,I need Help,i there any commands or ways to turn it back!I can't open any program becauseit is in dual view i think so!i need tips or commands ,,,,, I dont see a window of the programs i've opened but i know it works because it is loading for example; the Display Tools,it works but it doesn't appear in the window because it is in the left view <---- but i can't drag it because i don't get it.PLS HELP PRo!!!!

when speakers are on I can hear nothing but a hissing, buzzing sound. Wires in correct places etc, this just occured suddenly. Cannot hear music or anything. Can anybody help please?

Hi,

I've just bought a new graphics card that has no VGA inputs and only has DVI, but the monitor I want to use is a CRT Hyundai 19 inch with VGA only - can I just use an adaptor (DVI to VGA) or would that not work?

Graphics card is a pci-e 7950GT and I want to run the resolution at no less than 1280x1024 @ 85hz (which is the monitor's recommended setting).

I just purchased a lcd monitor for my pc and it sucks. My old Nec crt monitor is a hundred times better. The lcd monitor i purcahsed was a viewsonic 700:1 contrast ratio and I ifnd it blurry. Are there any good lcd monitors that are as good as the crt monitors? Also what is the contrast ratio for most crt monotors anyway, because they seem to be much more clear than the new lcd monitors?

It is a Windows hp.....Yesterday I turned it off and today it wont come on. I mean it's on. But it wont get past the Blank black screen with the blinkng underscore.


What could be wrong?

My computer screem keeps getting really fuzzy and then it will completley balck out. everything else is still working...and the montior is still making sounds. It will work for a certain amount of time...and then it will go again. I called my schools help desk but they were no help(no big surprise). can anybody please help me.

My monitor (flat screen old school CRT) starts literally popping and the image shrank to nothing in the center of the screen.
The popping would also occurr when the computer itself was off and the monitor was cold, as well.
Now nothing displays.
Any thoughts, friends? I'd be much obidged. Thanks.

just how do you make the screen show the complete area without going to properties and changing the resolution? you would think that as sophisticated computer are today that when you went to a page the monitor would adjust itself to show the whole area without scrolling to the side just to read the text or see the area? i don't like the 1024x768 or larger because it makes the text way to small to view, even if i increase the text size the rest of the screen is just to small. i like the 800x 600 resolution, it suits me fine. is there a program out there that changes the screen size to the resolution the monitor happens to be set at? i would love to get some? thanks
