My Computers Monitor does'nt show any objects,it seems i got wrong in setting up the settings PLS help!?

I can't see the START bar in the monitor just the background thats all,I need Help,i there any commands or ways to turn it back!I can't open any program becauseit is in dual view i think so!i need tips or commands ,,,,, I dont see a window of the programs i've opened but i know it works because it is loading for example; the Display Tools,it works but it doesn't appear in the window because it is in the left view <---- but i can't drag it because i don't get it.PLS HELP PRo!!!!

Find in your manuals where it tells you the hot-keys used to switch views.
Can you right click on the visible desktop and select properties? The tab would give you the opportunity to change the settings correctly.
Have you tried rebooting and pressing F8 and then go into VGA mode?
