It is a Windows hp.....Yesterday I turned it off and today it wont come on. I mean it's on. But it wont get past the Blank black screen with the blinkng underscore.
What could be wrong?
Can I fix it.

try typing "exit" in your black screen

Most likely you can fix it, however, that depends on your level of expertise..
had you noticed any strange actions from the system prior to this morning? ie, sites not coming up, or the system being slow to load? Sounds to me like you should check your system's hard drive.. it may have been loosely connected, and is now all the way loose..

Try:
1. keep pressing F7 or F6 when you turned it on
2. insert the CD recovery disk that came with your PC
3. Let me know what happened next . . .
