My friend's laptop was showing horizontal lines across the screen, he just came in from the cold and after re-start it appears to be ok...

Any ideas if the cold or something else could have caused the lines and the cursor to appear oddly shaped?

It's a mac g3 i book :D

Thanks in advance!

I am trying to get 3 lcd monitors to work in a triple display system. lets say. One in the middle, two to the sides. I have two nvidia 7900 gt cards. Windows xp pro.

so i want to make the 3 monitors. one big long horizontal display, i can get it to span across two monitors, but the forth one cant span with them. It acts just as a second display.

I know theres a way to do it, but i cant find it.

So help me out here please

Hello. I'm looking for a thin computer desk.

I figure I can use wall mounts for the montiors, that's a huge room saver right there... But I can't really find anything small that will support a keyboard/mouse with maybe a bit of extra room.

Any ideas?

Does it mean Audio/Video? We have a survillance system and it says it can use an A/V monitor or an VGA monitor.
What is the difference? Can you use a regular TV?

I have recently upgraded my graphics card and I'm trying to connect my PC to TV with S-video, but pictures comes out in black and white. My previous graphics had the yellow socket video output and that worked fine.

Why is it like that?
What can I do to get this right?

I plug in my computer (older PowerMac), fine. I plug the monitor into it, and at first it comes on, but then the monitor goes to amber light and won't power on. I have used this monitor and computer together before. So I tried another monitor, same brand, same model, same results. What does it sound like? Never heard of such a thing.

Hi All,
When I connect my monitor with my computer the monitor's green light is blinking but I don't see any display. When I disconnect my monitor, the monitor shows no singnal found(which is ok)
I connected the monitor to my laptop, it works great(Which tell me that the monitor is good)
I changed my hard disk, video card, power system but no change.
Still have the same problem monitor blinking green light with no display.

I have an AMD with AGP video card.

The same setup was working for 2 years and I don't know the reason why one day it started showing this problem.

Please help!! Thanks for your help!!

Im about to buy a new tft 19''

I was just wondering what the advantages / disadvantages were using a widescreen tft compared to a standard square tft because they are both the same price and dont know weather to get standard or widescreen

Im just worried about using windows on a widescreen i think its going to seem a little odd at first

Whenever I try to start up my computer a white screen instead of the desktop comes up. I tried running it through safe moade and changing the wallpaper it worked for awhile but when I tired to start it up again the white screen came up again this time it won't let me go through safe mode. I don't know whats wrong or how to fix it.

Will and American HDTV Ready monitor without a tuner work in the UK if connected to an HD source.

I know someone will hove tons to say about PAL and NTSC and maybe even voltage being 220-240 in UK, but HD has nothing to do with PAL or NTSC and most monitors (computer) are dual voltage. It is a digital source and not analog like PAL and NTSC.

Someone suggested that HDTV source in Europe operate at 25 fps and in the USA it is 30 fps.

Anyway will and HDTV ready monitor (eg. a 40" computer monitor) work in the UK.

Do you have any links with this information?

I just bought a desktop from Future Shop. Its graphic card is ATI Radeon Xpress 200 which supports dual output. Here comes the problem.

I tried to output the video from computer to my TV. I connect the TV and computer (the cable is ok), but there is no image on TV. I went to the display setting and tried to enable the secondary display. I checked the box and hit apply. The screen flashed once and the box became unchecked. It looks like the enable function is locked.

Also, I pulled out the primary monitor from the computer and had the computer to locate the output device. At beginning, the TV showed some starting image, such as Compaq logo, and then became blank after 3 seconds. I think this means the cable setting is right.

Any one knows how to solve it?
