I have a few stuck pixel on my lcd monitor, ive used some programs tried rubbing the thing press on it...
wondering if a magnet will do anything? dont want to damage it though ...

and there is a sizeable spec of dirt behind the screen, how do i get rid of that????

I wouldn't have a magnet anywhere near my computer. There's probably damage to your monitor in that spot, you might just have to live with it.

My TV has a purple spot from me leaving it on while the Playstation was paused. It literally burned a discoloration in the screen. If you have a video game unit, cable or Satellite that pauses when watching a live show, it's not recommended leaving it paused for very long. Those spots are what happens. Not sure if it can be fixed or not.

Magnets would screw up the rest of the pixels. You need to send it in for repairs.

NO!!!!! Putting a magnet on you display would probably cause major and permanent damage to a large area of your screen!!!

DO NOT DO THAT!!!!!

well you may have actually done more harm than good... the LCD is Liquid Crystal Diode...liquid is the important part here....if you break or damage the diode by pushing on it ...then there is no fixing it....a magnet will do nothing.
