Is there a SIMPLE (or cheap) way to fix LCD dead spots on a laptop? I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop, less than a year old, and I have two noticable dead spots on the monitor. One is looks like a white, bright cluster, and the other looks like a single star.
I've heard people say that it is possible to unscrew the casing and run a high powered magnate over the back of the screen, but I am hesitant to do that, as I am afraid it will cause more damage to the computer.
Does anyone know of a simple, or cheap way to fix this myself, without running the risk of further damage?

Okay, my friends monitor has lines and glitches when you scroll down or are loading something or even when you are making the screen bigger or smaller. Someone Please Tell Me Why This Is Happening And How I Can Fix This!

Hi everyone. I have recently got my computer back from repairs because of a hard drive failure. I have 2 Nvidia Geforce 6800 XTs running in SLI mode. Before my computer computer had a hard drive failure, everything was working fine. Now that I got it from repairs, I set it to SLI mode. It is always flashing this black screen every 5-10 seconds!

It runs fine in single card mode, but this SLI mode problem is really getting frustrating. Either I have choppy game play or my screen flashing every 5-10 seconds.

Any help?

I have i ezcam 3 usb and when i open the viewing screen where u can see ur self though the cam it is all blury and it is bright i already checked the settings of video capture.

Am using a VGA adapter and S-video cable between the computer and a TV. The TV display is the same as what's on the computer screen. I'm trying to get things connected so I will see what I'm producing exactly as it would be if it were already on a DVD being played on a home TV. Is the television displaying in NTSC or is it acting as a vga monitor? Any suggestions?
