I have an Elonex Exentia Media Centre, the company has gone into administration and the screen keeps flicking on and off.
Where should I take it to be looked at?

My screen resolution is fuzz, and limited to only 800 or 1024 display. I'm supposed to be able to view at 1440 display, but it is not an option. If it's the video card, what do I purchase that is compatible...or is there a way to update my video card by download? Thanks.

ok so i have an nvidia 7600gtx and i have dual dvi outputs i have 2 monitors hooked up and can use them through nvidia but want to use them through windows because the windows one works better (ha ha ha that's a first) i mean the nvidia settings eithier clone it or stretch it across both screens and if you have used it in windows you probably know what im talking about. help? it dosen't show up as 2 monitors when i get into settings in display

I received dual monitors with my new PC. I have them connected properly but can only use one. I would like to dedicate my second screen to a specific program but cannot figure out how to activate it. Any suggestions are very welcome and appreciated.

Well, I am posting this question yet again at the cost of five points again because I didn't get a solution the last two times and people only got confused with my question.

I have Samsung Plug-and-Play TFT 19" monitor with Geoforce 6600 and Sony R/W drive. I am way too impressed with the display. But when I play a movie, from a CD or DVD the video quality is poor beyond tolerable limit !

I do not see why this happens only with video. I tried playing the video with different players like Windows Media Player, Realplayer, Winamp etc. but the image quality is never good.

Could somebody guess what is causing this problem ?

I think my lcd screen is gone on my computer (it's black all the time) next step is how do i change it? It's a gateway 200. I would like to try and save it if i can.

ps I have checked the brightness and contrast and this has done no good. I also contacted gateway, and they didnt help at all.

You guys had great answers, and I appreciate it. But I went away for a week for Christmas, and unplugged everything. Came back, and booted up, and the colors are right again!!! Had tried the deguaus thing, etc, moved any magnetic possibilities, still no help. But a week with it off, and it is back to normal, EXCEPT I use "starfield" for my screensaver, which has a totally black background. It is now a brownish background.
Is my monitor still on its way to a dirt nap?

i am looking for a monitor with crisp clear viewing experince similarly if not exactly that of a HD viewing experience. I do not understand much a out ratio and refresh rate.

If the ratio is higher does that mean that it is better or is it the other way and also the lower the refresh rate what does it mean.

I want a widescreen monitor which has smooth picture. My current monitor doesnt display videos smoothly and the games dont show smoothly at times. Like i have fifa 07 for pc and when i play at times i get a delay in the picture although my pc is running at 3.40 GHZ HT technology with ATI Radeon X1600PRO 512MB AGP8x graphics card. I clearly have the gaming machine there but for some reason i cannot tell that i have a 512MB graphics card with my current monitor it is just not working.

Please could you help me with a list of monitors that i may consider. REMEMBER widescreen 19" or more so not less than 19". Thanks and god bless!

My computer screen as recently starting looking like a checker board. I can still make out the pictures but the colors are really off and there is a checker board pattern.

Its not the monitor, Ive already tested it. How do I determine if its the graphics card or the video card?
