indefinately... but at some point u should just turn it off. Some componants still sear in standbye mode.

You can keeo it in stand-by mode for as long as you want, but all that does is puts it into low power mode, it would be good to eventually shut it down and give it a break. Hibernating it is also a choice.

u can have it for moths without use and 2 weeks the tops of it is used a lot
