I bought a nice small fujitsu siemens laptop and I upgraded the RAM from 1GB to 2GB, is there anything else I can upgrade?

i just want to know laptop on of the laptops are best between HP Pavilion Media Center dv6529ea or acer aspire 7520.i would be using the laptop for light gaming and homework.the specs of the hp are:

My IBM Lenovo system was too slow, I just formated my LAptop and installed new version of OS on it, I was wondering does it violate the warranty of LAptop ? My laptop is still under warranty.

my laptops screen broke yesterday morning, i like dropped it.
and well its like only the screen thats broken, because like on the top left corner you can see the startup screen and such. So is there any way that i can like get a new screen and have someone fix it [how much will that cost] or like i heard you can just get a moniter and connect it to your laptop..can i do that?
My laptops like about 1 year old, its a gateway, and thats about it!...SO HELP!!!!!!PLEASE!!!!!

I wanted my Compaq Presario 1690 laptop to perform a little better so I purchased a AMD k6-3 450 to up the performance. originally I was using the AMD k6-2 400 without a problem (stock in most 1690's), I could even overclock it a bit to 450 with no problems. Well I installed the k3 leaving the factory setting's intact which is 2.2 v 100 mhz x4 on the motherboard(the k63 is 2.2-2.4 core) and it boots up fine , but when I open a application the computer freezes. I tried every single dipswitch setting in the service manual and what I could find on the net that others have used but still the same problems. Sometimes it will work for awhile than it will freeze. I have a socket 7 cpu heatsink and fan installed in my laptop so I dont see heat as the problem , plus these amd k3's are suppose to run cooler anyway.

I also underclocked it to see what was the deal and had it clocked @ 188 mhz and although it did run ok eventually it froze when opening another window.

The only big difference in the CPU's is the k6-3's have 256 mb l2 cache and th k6-2 400s dont. I have adequite memory and I guess I am just in a slump. I paid good money and bought it from a reputable seller that states it passed all the testing. i did notice however that on some of the pins I noticed some blackness towards the base of some pins and kinda a little corrosion when I recieved the unit.

Why the freezing? Is the CPU just not processing correcty?

I was told and I figure it would be a plug and play type deal but I was sadly dissappointed

If anyone has any ideas please let me know and if you need any more info to help me figure out this problem just ask

My Motherboard says it can handle up to 475 mhz and everything is set so it should of just ran normal but failed

everytime i install it, if i don't restart it right away i get sound but if i open a page or look at it the wrong way my screen turns blue and i get somekind of fatal error. Then i have to start in safe mode or do a system restore to get everything back to normal. I have a Toshiba Satellite M40X-RH4 Laptop. I really need sound, does anyone have any suggestions, or know any other drivers i could use for sound. Or could it be my sound card that is bad? This is the only driver it lists for audio in the manufacturer's website.

how will this work? I am not a gamer, but I do imaging, browsing, email, word, excel, movies... wilil it run at a good speed?

if I add 1 more GB of memory to total (1.5GB) will it significantly make it faster?

Hi I have a Dell Vostro 1000 with these specs:
ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 (integrated video card)
1.8 ghz AMD sempron 3500+ processor
WIndows Xp Home
2GB of RAM
60GB Hard drive

I downloaded the Battlefield 2142 demo and the only map on there is Sidi Power Plant. I actually can play this game with barely any lags. Would it be the same way if I buy the real Battlefield 2142? Or are the maps have much more graphics? I dont lag too much in the demo... its not really smooth though... but i can play it pretty well..... but it doesnt skip so...

How does the demo compare to the real game? My friend says that all the maps have the same type of graphics... its just that sidi power plant sucks. Is this true? Will i play as good as I do on the demo? Will i play worse? Will i play BETTER because it is just a demo?

I have been trying to find out if I can increase the signal for a wireless signal when I am staying in a hotel? I do not want to plug in cards, but if there is a USB type device that can be plugged in to increase the signal strength that would be great. Thanks for your help.

that exploded were also used by just about every other major computer manufacturer, including that much heralded Toshibas? I just wondered if anyone else out here knew that, because I keep hearing over and over and over again how Toshibas are better for this reason, even though they used the same batteries, and did a recall of there own. And since NO ONE uses the batteries anymore, why do people keep bringing this issue up over and over and over again?

Okay, I recently was using Remote Assistance with a friend, him to me, and everything was fine. But afterwards, when we ended the chat, my keyboard went crazy. When I typed "A" it would be like 6. When I typed 6 it become some wierd symbol. So I logged off. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and now I can't even log on.

ok this has been going on for almost a year now and i just have to ask. a few days after i got my laptop (compaq) i had to have it restarted by the actual company. and since then it wont play actual cds, only downloaded cds i've made. and it also wont play any games. does anyone have a solution?

My laptop of HP pavillion 1000 series is not getting AC power. I check ed the AC power it is working fine. Earlier I had an issue that power button requires more strength to start. i mean pressing hard..
Do you think it is a gud idea that i open the laptop and check the power connections ? unfortunately i do not have any manuals but can you tell me if it would be an easy task to open and close laptop ?

So I've always wondered how people take their notebook with them everywhere and internet works. Like a restraunt etc.

How do they get the internet? do they pay for a month like DSL?

I use wireless router at home and use one notebook with a pc, so if i take the notebook outside, would that work?

please help.

I just have a few questions. I am a sophomore in High school and really want a Macbook pro. But I mainly will need it for College, but I don't know if it will be out of date by then? I cannot wait any longer and was planning on getting one once the new MBP models come out if they do. I was just wondering does Apple release a new OS every year? Do they release new models every year? Like I said I cannot stand it any longer and planning on getting one next year. When i am a Junior. But I will be using it for a lot of things between now and college, but by the time I go to college will it be out of date? it will be 2.4GHz 160GH HDD 5400RPM 15". But no clue what models they will have next year.
