Can I upgrade the cpu processor in my laptop. It currently has a Pentium II 255mhz.

That laptop is too outdated to upgrade. As soon as you upgrade something there, another component could just fail and render everything next to useless. Consider upgrading to newer equipment.

not worth it. new laptops cost around $500 - 700 and provide quadroople the performance and memory. it's not worth soaking $125 to up the processor only 100mhz when it can't even run the latest software. give it to your kid or recycle it. It's time to replace it.
