Hi,

My IBM Lenovo system was too slow, I just formated my LAptop and installed new version of OS on it, I was wondering does it violate the warranty of LAptop ? My laptop is still under warranty.

Initially XP Home was installed, But Now I have installed XP professional, I was not having recovery disk, so I did a fresh install.

Up grading the OS should not void the warranty, but you will need to download and install all of the drivers for your computer so that you can control sound, screen resolution, etc.

I don't think that would void the warranty but check the documentation that came with your computer to be absolutely sure.
