Okay, I recently was using Remote Assistance with a friend, him to me, and everything was fine. But afterwards, when we ended the chat, my keyboard went crazy. When I typed "A" it would be like 6. When I typed 6 it become some wierd symbol. So I logged off. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and now I can't even log on.

I've already tried FN+NumLck, Alt+NumLck.

I would first check the keyboard control panel to see if the keyboard layout has changed.

Might be a bit of a problem if you can't type your password, maybe if you've got a USB keyboard lying around somewhere you could try plugging that in (though I doubt it'll help).

I've had the same problem, the above answer that said to fo to your device manager and uninstall the driver has good advice, when you reboot your computer it will find and install the driver automatically, you can also look for driver updates for your keyboard in the device manager. If that doesn't work, a system restore to a date when your keyboard was working fine should do the trick if you're able to somehow log on again. Also, I know it sounds unrelated, but a third party wireless mouse can also interfere with your keyboard working properly, good luck.

Go to the control panel and check the properties for the keyboard...make sure you have the right setting....eg english as default

Otherwise

In device manager uninstall the keyboard...restart the pc and wait for the found new hardware wizard to show up...instal it again with proper settings

or

Go to the website for the manufacture and download a driver if you can find one

Dunno if this would work but try holding down the Fn key (bottom left) and then pressing NumLk (top right).
