everytime i install it, if i don't restart it right away i get sound but if i open a page or look at it the wrong way my screen turns blue and i get somekind of fatal error. Then i have to start in safe mode or do a system restore to get everything back to normal. I have a Toshiba Satellite M40X-RH4 Laptop. I really need sound, does anyone have any suggestions, or know any other drivers i could use for sound. Or could it be my sound card that is bad? This is the only driver it lists for audio in the manufacturer's website.

Your laptop came with a Recovery Disk (or is on the hard drive, read the Manual) and all the required drivers are included.

Back up all your personal data FIRST and Re-install Windows (also in the Manual), it's that easy.

You should have a ADI branded onboard sound.
