I'm going to buy a laptop and I founded that the Toshiba laptop suit me. But I've just known that Toshiba laptop always automatically shutdown after 1 year of usage (the reason is supposed to be overheated). Is it happen with almost Toshiba laptops or just a minor?

I will HAve photos
I play graphic intensive games ( World of Warcraft)
I don't want to go over 1.5k( would be great if I could stay a couple hundred below that)
I want Blu-tooth

Is this computer good enough for what I want it for. Or is it under par. Or maybe I'm getting rippped off. If so do you have any recomendations.

I sold my 17" macbook pro to make way for a smaller macbook, but I won't be able to get one till december. I backed up my files on a 3.5 external hard drive but when I tried opening it on a ibook w/ power pc it's prompting me to initilize. So I'm thinking it must be something between the intel based and power pc chip that's not being recognized between the two. What do you think? or how can this be fixed?

I recently installed windows xp on my dell 1501 notebook instead of the vista that it came with but now it's not displaying my processor speed as 1.8ghz, its saying 789. I'm not sure if its actually running at 789 or what the problem is but I'd like to change it.

I just got a new Dell Inspiron 1521 about a month ago and now its messed up and i dont know what happened. I turned it on a couple days ago and a window popped up (before it started up) and it said there was an error and something was wrong and that i had to check some disk. Now that message doesnt pop up anymore but it did for the first 5 times i tried starting it up. And after that would pop up i would push ok and then the screen would be black but the little mouse icon was there and it would move but there was nothing there. Now when i start it up, all there is is the blank, black screen and the mouse arrow. None on the keyboard does anything and the only thing i can do it turn it off and on from the power button. Please help, i want to find out what caused this, whats wrong with it and how to fix it. Please!! Any info helps!! Thank you!!!

I have a laptop that came with Vista, but I didn't like it so I downgraded (upgraded IMO) to XP. The laptop has a Core 2 Duo T7300, which is 2.0ghz. However, when I go into the system console in the control panel, under "Computer", it says:

Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU
T7300@ 2.00ghz
1.18ghz, 2.00gb of RAM

Shouldn't that second clock speed be 2.0ghz as well? It's dual core, so shouldn't both speeds be the same?

If someone has the same processor on Vista, could you see what it says in your system console? Or does anyone know?

I don't feel comfortable losing 800mhz of power.

I just purchased a Dell Inspiron 1420 with a Core 2 1.5 Ghz processor and 1 GB Ram. My computer was running fine out of the box, but it didn't come with any anti virus software only Windows Defender. I have Vista Basic and I have Spyware Doctor and AVG running in real time, now my memory is always over 65% sometimes 80%, while my processor rarely exceeds 12%. I thought 1 GB was more than enough with a fast processor!

i want to know about the performance of ACER. if anybody is having any model of ACER inform me.SHOULD i go for ACER or should i buy COMPAQ model(dualcore,512,120hdd).

My mums laptop/notebook broke down, we need that data back it has her work on it.

We have a 2nd Laptop, would we be able to simpy swap the Hard-Drives, and have everything working fine again, including the Operating System?

I have have recently placed a order on a dell inspiron 6400 on there uk site it came with the standard 6 cell battrery but instead i paid extra for the 9 cell battery would it stick out of the back at all
