I need laptop for creating website, browsing, writing articles.I have temptation to buy Apple computer, but maybe HP can do the same thing with less money?

HP computers can run both Windows and Macintosh (MacTel). But Apple computers (iMac and MacBook) run only Macintosh. If you are familiar with Macintosh, you may get a MacBook. Else go for HP.

HP computers use the Microsoft Vista operating system. Apple uses its own system. They are similar. I always liked Apple better but when you live in a small city software availability and service are very limited.

Most viruses are written for the PC since more people have them. It is therefore much safer to have a Mac. Files from most major programs are interchangeable.

HP is just a computer brand name if u buy HP your probably gonna get it with Windows Vista already installed

Apple has their own OS ....it just depends on what your most comfortable with Windows or Mac

Both could adequately accomplish any of your aforementioned tasks

Think of them as cars, they both do the same taks, just personal preferences.
