I have wireless internet, and it says I am connected, but when I try, the internet doesn't work. Does anyone know what's happening or how to fix it?

The problem goes away if the computer turns off from lack of power(battery low, not connected to a power adapter). Once I turn it on again the computer works fine. If I just hold the power button and turn it off it will still have the problem when I turn it on again. It lags everything including the toachpad and the power button which you have to hold for about six seconds before it response. The same for the other keys on the keyboard. I also notice that when their high cpu usage the fan on the laptop is not working. When the computer is back to normal the touchpad, keyboard, power button, and fan work normally. It's just weird that these devices work after the computer turns off from losing power from not having energy. Again its the system under task manager that is using about 40% of the cpu when the laptop is not working properly.

Dell says I have to repair the computer with the discs and said there is a 90%chance i'll lose my data. What can i do to save the pictures i have stored on there.

the blue screen of death says
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

and has a code of

It wont start in safemode, or last known good configuration or any other "mode"

i really want a tablet pc, but i will be playing alot of video games(test drive unlimited, sims 2, ect) i really want to get a toshiba tablet like the r400 but i am not sure if the prossesor from the r400 can handle game, and i know this sounds tacky but the way the tablet looks also affects my the tablet i want to buy, like the toshiba m400 i think can handle games with a 2.0 prossesor, but if i am wrong please correct me, also one last catch is i live in canada(quebec) and i would preffer if it could be shiped here( i have family in the us so i can probbably get one shipped to the us and pick it up). any help would be greatly healpful.

I tried removing the CMOS Battery, RAM, Hard disk, & the Processor. The settings were resetted but the password still remains. I just dont know how I forgot the password, its just a simple word I used.

i have recently obtained a laptop with C and D drives.
i did a memory check and i needed to update my memory
so i dont know how i did it but somewhere in my computer management i changed the memory settings for the D drive so it was the same as the C drive...min i cant remember...but max was about 1516 (and windows gave me the max figure recommendation)
now my memory check has come out OK
however ..would i be better off doing this "partition" thing...?

My old desktop decided to die, and it crashes no matter what i do. So I wanted a new PC, and I wanted a laptop. I was thinking about buying the Sony Vaio VGN-AR41E which is due to come out at the end of the week or so. My brother said it was good. It costs 1,200 euro, which I thought was quite a lot, but reasonable as it is a Vaio laptop. Does anybody know anything about this laptop, or have any other suggestions? ok...i have this laptop... i want to upgrade the ram on it and curently it is 128mb... when i open the back of it up.. i see the 2 places where the ram can go... both of those places have a ram chip thing in them... so does that mean each of those chips have 64mb of ram?

I'm kinda upset because a month after i bought my laptop (hp dv2500t with vista home premium) with the intel x3100, hp gave the option of getting the 319MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS video card. Is the intel video card bad if i dont do much gaming? Is it bad if I do do some gaming? is it worth wishing i had the the nvidia card or is the intel one good enough?

Hi, my computer is going wacky and I was thinking of buying a new one and I was thinking of a laptop/notebook. Do any of you know the best and cheapest way to getting a laptop?
