You're laptop is probably wirelessly connected to the your wireless router, but the router isn't connected to the internet. Make sure your LAN cable is connected to the router and has internet access.

Check the modem. I had this problem also with my PC and it's also an ACER. And Acer Aspire 3680 to be exact. The WIFI connects fine but the modem was actually turned off. Once I turned on the modem I was able to connect to the internet and surf with no problem.

Go to view your network connections. Right click on your wireless connection and go to propertires. On the "General" tab, scroll down the list and click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Then click properties. On the general tab, make sure both Obtain.....are set to automatically detect, unless you are on a proxy and need to input these settings. Hope this works for ya.

Occasionally, the server itself is down. One day I am online in a second, last week I received a message a couple of times that "the page was unavailable" or some sort nonsense.
- Count to 10 and try again.
- Restart and try again.

You could be just connected to a router but the router might not have Internet access. But it will still say you have it.

try resetting the connection on the PC [via control panel]
also you might want to reset the adapter itself, if none of these work you might want to check the manual of the wireless adapter (or help file) or call your isp to make sure their connections do work.

Sounds like a firewall issue or the page you're trying to view may be blocked.
