It's a Dell 6400 Inspiron notebook with Intel Centrino duo core processor and 1 GB RAM. I had the same problem with my previous Dell 630m notebook having the similar configuration.

core 2 duo processor.. 2 gb ram.. 256 mb graphics card.. and 14.1 inch screen.. the problem is that i dont get a 256 mb graphics card with a 14.1 inch screen.. so if youll can advice me on which brand to go for, it would be really helpful.. i need the laptop mainly for gaming but should be easy to carry it around as well..

When I type the format command it starts off ok but at 12% "trying to recover allocation unit 126,141" displays and a few secs later "not ready" displays on the screen and it terminates. I have run FDISK etc with no probs does anybody have any suggestions please (apart from throwing the laptop in the bin that is!)

I did the disk space clean up on my latitude 400 and by mistake had the office set up file check box checked.As a result my monitors color resolution has gone down to a low of 8 and it does not give me any options to change to a higher one .Also on startup I get a message to install a video controller software which was not there earlier.Are some of the drivers deleted.Please help me as neither system resore is working

Geez, I was at my friends house and my laptop was sitting on his bed. We we were in a different room when we both saw his light fixture (the lights , the fixtures everything that holds up the 4x 2half foot long lightbulbs ) crash onto his bed right on my laptop. The fixture weights a good 10lbs. Well, it smashed my screen and there are cracks all over in it. The system boots up and seems to run fine. I just bought the laptop about 6 months ago. Didnt buy the warranty. The question I have is .. Is my friend somewhat responsible ? was a freak accident though. Is the landlord someone responsible since is was a huge light fixture that fell? And does anyone know how much a repair would be? Thanks for the answers

I have a HP OmnibookXE3 laptop, and my mouse clicks itself randomly.
It doesnt seem to be after a certain length of time, and is very sporadic.
I`ve looked in the mouse settings in the control panel but cannot see anything.

It froze and when i went to restart it a blue screen with writing on it showed up (flashed too fast for me to read it) and then a screen showed up asking if i wanted to start in safe mode, normally, or at last known good configuration etc. and no matter what option i choose it keeps going in this circle of the blue screen and the other screen mentioned....how do i fix this? it doesnt matter if i lose all my things i just wanna be able to use it again!
