What kind of paint is used on a laptop mouse pad-the gray part..anyone now?

vinyl dye,seems like the way to go. To those with more experience with the stuff than I,a couple clear coats would help protect it?

The plastic itself is probably colored. Any kind of coating would eventually wear off, being that it gets rubbed all day long.

It was dyed when it was manufactured.
