I have a HP OmnibookXE3 laptop, and my mouse clicks itself randomly.
It doesnt seem to be after a certain length of time, and is very sporadic.
I`ve looked in the mouse settings in the control panel but cannot see anything.
anyone know how to stop it?

Errr, do you have experience with laptops? If not, this might be the reason: when you touch the touch pad twice in short time it works like double clicking your mouse. ;o)

If you have a wireless mouse, that's typical of batteries running down.

By the way, several people (me included) have been driven almost mad by inadvertently touching the touch pad while typing. I've turned mine off now.

you might want to take it apart and replace the battery. There maybe a faulty curcuit. If you are using the touchpad mouse, if you take it to any best buy they can clean it and fix whatever problem is causing it for a really small price.

hope i could help!

my mouse did that too sometimes. mine was like moving and clicking thing by itself.... i discovered that it was the cable problems.... hmm.... how do i say this... i mean my mouse is the traditional wired one (i.e. not wireless).... the wire sends signal to your computers.... and i sometimes pull my mouse against the wire too hard so it started to have problems... i pushed the cable back into my mouse and it became ok again.... lol i hope you understand it.. it's kinda hard to describe...
