I recently insalled windows XP on that PC, but I don't know if there was a problem before (this was a gift) I increased the memory to 288MB (which is the max for this system) Everything else works fine, or f I play music from the PC it's fine too, but when playing CD's or using a VOIP program I hear the clicking noise through the speakers or headphones
Thanks

I let it dry for 2 weeks and yes! the good news is that it works! bad news when it's charging, it makes a little noise and the brightness of the screen keeps changing. Should I be concerned that it might damage the system or ignore and consider it the minimum damage that could happen to my laptop?

As I posted out a Q "Can my laptop LCD to be repaired and how much it cost?" I really thanks to all guys' answered.

Here I added some more info about my laptop LCD. Mine is dell laptop, and the warranty is over. I never drop my laptop or hit it against anything. Just one day, when I on my laptop, it doesn't show anything. But later on, I found out it actually still show the back ground, but very dim and almost black.

Some guys told me it can be reapied, but I don't know which shop is good at reapair laptop LCD and won't cheap customer. Of course not so expensive also. hehe... Thank you very much for your help.

My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 600m in VERY good condition, I have only had it since May 2005. There are hardly any scraps on it at all, the only ones are on the option blue cover that I bought extra. Its got 512MB ram or whatnight, and 60GB ram or whatever lol...

I only want to sell it because I have decided that I would really like an Apple, not because there is anything wrong with it.

How much do you think I could get out of it, and where would be a good place to look to sell it?

btw, I bought it with 4 year insurance and paid around $1700 or so new.

Well I am going to buy a Dell notebook pretty soon. I guess it would be a E 1505. One of my friends suggested that I should buy one in Costco. He said the prices there are cheap and you can always trust Costco.

I know for sure that Costcos are good, but I'm not sure where I can get the best deal for my Dell notebook?

Thank you for answering!

I don't have those special wipes but I have fingerprints on my screen that I want to remove. I once used a commercial cleaner and it ruined my screen so I am reluctant to clean it.

It's a Compaq, and the drive fits inside some kind of bracket that makes it fit the space inside the machine properly. In trying to find a replacement drive on the internet, it is beginning to look to me like most 2.5 inch drives are about the same. Is this true? Could I get almost any 2.5 inch hard drive and drop it into that bracket and install it?

Why is my laptop taking longer to load and shut down these days? The hard drive is only half full, I've cleared all the temporary files and cookies and Norton anti virus can't find any problems.

I have a laptop with a 256mb ram module in one of the two slots, is it OK to put a 512mb in the other. I'm sure I've heard with DDR2, you must only put same size ram in each slot. Does it just work faster in matched pairs? Thanks guys!
