There's a clicking noise through the speakers of my Thinkpad 600E (Windows XP) specially when playing CDs?

I recently insalled windows XP on that PC, but I don't know if there was a problem before (this was a gift) I increased the memory to 288MB (which is the max for this system) Everything else works fine, or f I play music from the PC it's fine too, but when playing CD's or using a VOIP program I hear the clicking noise through the speakers or headphones

try updating your drivers, check IBM for the latest ones

Could be a type of spyware.
