understand these card require a higher watt power supply, my power supply says output DC 300watts,(3.3V and 5v 130 watts max) is this good enuf, My system configuration is AMD athalonX2 4200+ with 1 gb of memory please respond with ur experience with this card. What is the max price should i pay for this card

i just bought a brand new dell 410 xps410 computer. I though it would be mad fast but it is really slow. i have a 2.4 ghz duo processer 4gb of ram and a niviage geforce 7900 256 video card and a 500 gb harddrive and it is really slow. is there any way to make it faster. i was tweeking with things for hours and it didnt get any faster does anyone have any advice to make it work better.

Can any USB device perfrom its desired fucntion without the computer knowing about its presence. for example when a usb deivce is attached the computer searches for the drivers and installs them and the usb device is ready to run. if a plug and play usb is inserted in the usb port of computer, the computer doesnt sense the existence of usb. and the usb device can still send or recive data to the computer RAM using DMA (Direct Memory Access).

I have recently bought an external 20gh drive IBM DJA 220. It plugs in fine and starts working, but its prone to suddenly disconnecting and this is becoming a real pain when transferring data. When i take out the usb lead and plug it in then its fine! I use it for my bit torrent downloading so its becoming really annoying. I have tried going into control panel and 'populating' it, which it does fine until the next disconnection. I have tried putting it in different usb port too and that hasn't done anything, any suggestions?? there is no conflict showing in device manager and it comes up as my f drive. Using win xp sp1, could it be my usb ports as they are not 2.0???

I just bought a Trascend Flash Drive, Model JF150 but I cant find the write protection switch! Does it have one?!? I hope so coz I dint notice that before buying :(

If theres no switch, how can I write-protect it so that it doesnt get infected by viruses?

I know that basically, the processor is mainly holding the graphics card back. So I would like to know that if I'd get the best S939 Mobo, how would it affect the scores? I'm planning to get the DFI Lanparty UT NF3 Ultra and Opty 170 and oc it. Will this upgrade work? The RAM and everything would be the same. Just that the motherboard and processor are to be upgraded.

i have 1gb kingston datatraveler pen drive...when i double click on the pen drive icon in my computer(in windows XP), it does not open. but when i right click on it then there are two "open" options, when i click on the last one(not first one) "open" option only then it show the data in pen drive. can anybody tell me wats the problem? is it some virus problem?

I purchased a Matrox APVe graphics card, and when I tried to install it, I noticed there isn't a PCI Express slot, available in my system.

My motherboard is the ASUS p4p800 Deluxe. It has an AGP graphics slot. The system was built with a Matrox Millenium G550 card in it (AGP slot). It also has 5 or 6 other PCI card slots. My audio effect plug-in cards are in 2 of them.

The new Matrox APVe card will not fit into any of these slots. Can one of the slots be made to accomodate a PCI Express slot? The card calls for PCI Express x 16.

I have a USB 2.0 port, which has worked before, but now when I try to plug in my flash drive or mp3 player, it says the device is not recognized and that there is a malfunction. I'm currently on Windows Vista. The flash drive works on my other computer, but isn't working on any of the three USB ports on my laptop

Some vendor are cheating by claiming higher GB memory of flash drive while actually it don't store the claimed capacity, altough the computer read in the properties option the claimed memory or GB.

Considering that mice are fairly inexpensive, is it worth the effort to try to splice the cable?

I have two wireless mice, but they go through batteries too quickly, especially the Kensington Laser. I finally bought rechargeable batteries, but I have to recharge them every two weeks. The wired one he chewed through is an optical that only cost $12...but it really annoys me to have to buy yet another one.

I also have a MyBook Essential 500 Gb external HD - it has no software for doing backups. Will Bounceback Express work with it? Or is there some freeware that can do incremental backups? It's on a PC duo running XP pro

My computer is an hp its been siting out in garage for awhile is in good shape. And it has nice Amd athlon and good ram. But like when i turn it on it says system recovery and Settings(something like that) And no keyboards work. I dont know what the problem is. But if anyone has any ideas please help.
