im looking for a schematic diagram of a USB to Parallel Interface Converter Cable.. coz i want to create my own.. can anyone provide me some links for where i can download such sources? im planning to connect the printer cable end to a breadboard and the other USB cable end to the CPU...

I don't have the direct answer, but you'll have to get the IEEE standards and the converter will not just be a few wiring cross-overs and diodes. you are actually converting serial to parallel data stream.
if you're doing it for fun, go at it.
if you're doing it to save the money, i purchased one on eBay for $7.

The first answer is a good one ... it's more than simple crossover.
Don't risk frying a PC's mainboard on this project.
