i just bought a brand new dell 410 xps410 computer. I though it would be mad fast but it is really slow. i have a 2.4 ghz duo processer 4gb of ram and a niviage geforce 7900 256 video card and a 500 gb harddrive and it is really slow. is there any way to make it faster. i was tweeking with things for hours and it didnt get any faster does anyone have any advice to make it work better.

in all over the world isn't any "dell 410 xps 410" with "2.4 ghz duo processer 4gb of ram and a nvidia geforce 7900 256 video card and a 500 gb harddrive".
if a system with these informations couldn't run VISTA perfectly so ... !!!

I would have to say that it is probably Vista. The configuration you have should be a very fast machine.

Do a fresh install of vista again to make sure that it is not some kind of weird software issue.

After that I would call Dell and tell them your concerns. They might have a solution for you.

Then keep up on all the updates.

check if ur video card support directx9, or try reformat ur PC, maybe it has a f...up virus or troyan
