I'm currently running AMD XP-M @ 2.5Ghz on A7N8X-E, with PC X1950 PRO AGP Graphics card, Corsair Twin XMS PC-3200 XL 1GB Kit, and Maxtor DiamondMax 9 SATA Hard drives in Raid-0. This thing already benches the 3DMarks 03/06 with 13126/3854.

I know that basically, the processor is mainly holding the graphics card back. So I would like to know that if I'd get the best S939 Mobo, how would it affect the scores? I'm planning to get the DFI Lanparty UT NF3 Ultra and Opty 170 and oc it. Will this upgrade work? The RAM and everything would be the same. Just that the motherboard and processor are to be upgraded.

The proc on the current A7N8X-E is an AMD XP-M 2800+ (Additional notes for scores)

Also to note that, I will plan to make another rig that's PCI-E. So yes, a recommendation for getting a Core 2 Duo is fine. Just that I don't have that "Motherboard/PCI-E Card/DDR2/Proc" budget.

I doubt you'll find a mobo that supports C2D and AGP...
