can i make skype play through my headphones but make my computer play through the speakers?

my pc won't turn off i have to unplug the thing, i have trouble getting on the internet,got lucky today!it's running slow,i have a update manager wanting to update a sonic manager can't get it off i have a used windows xp,should i do a pc cleaner? whats a good fast cleaner download,i'm on my knees begging for help,i think it's ready to crash,i've tried a system restore,tried a disk cleanup,tried to defrag,still happening WHAT"S WRONG! i never get any answers on here am i asking right thank u all

At my job my printer spits out papers that read

PCL XL error Warning: IllegalMediaSource

What does that mean? And how can I fix it. It uses a lot of paper and is wasting a lot of unccessary money... Please help!

I have Pen4 2.66ghz with 1gig ddr2 ram 533mhz 300gig ide harddrive some how after leaving it on for while half day or so computer gets so slow i run symantec trial anti-virus i dont know if setting is wrong or i just need better processor and more ram please help

I wont ask for a specific question cause many of u r going to tell me that its a matter of choice, however, on ur opinion which processor works better on windows based system and at wich point are they independent of any other specifications:

Its an older one .I would like to use it for editing photos and playing games but not hooked to internet. It does get cold in mid winter here,but its ok weather most other times of yr.

For the longest time, my computer would not allow me to enter Setup or give me the option to go into Safe Mode. Through the advice of a co-worker, I unplugged the PC and popped out the CMOS battery and let everything reset. This brought back the ability to go into Setup, but still no Safe Mode. Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Dell Demension 4300, 512 MB Ram, Window XP HE.

The HDD light is permenantly on.
It keeps making crunchy noises
My game had files mysteriously currupted, I tried reinstalling it from the files which are on my hd and it wouldnt work cos some of the files were corrupted.
I have had the hard drive for 3 years and I have never touched it or looked at it.
Could the reason for my corrupted files be HDD failure or are there other possible reasons?

I have an Dual core 1.8 ghz processor, 1GB of ram and a NX7100Gs graphics card. And still why i cant set the screen resolutin more than 640X480 in games like Quake IV or nfs carbon?i i do so the game doesn't run properly..

I've had my laptop 2 years now and when i first got it an accident happened where something heavy fell on the keys and 2 keys came off. They still worked but were tricky to press properly. Now the rubber things underneath have split and they wont work at all. 2 other keys are slightly wobbly as well although they do work. I am going to uni soon so will need full use of my laptop, before i only ever used it at home so just used a standard pc keyboard and plugged it in, but now i will need to take the laptop with me and i wont be able to lug a sperate keyboard around as well.

I would probably need to get a completely new keyboard, but i have no idea how. Do i take it to a pc shop? It is an IBM thinkpad. I have found the certain keyboard on ebay but i wouldnt know how to fix it and i really dont want to in case i break it. Any advice? Does it cost alot?

Is it possible to view thumbnail photos on a mac without using iphoto? Can they be viewed by thumbnail in their own folders? It seems to me they can only be viewed by label.
