I'm planning to get an 80g usb hard disk for my convenient, but I have serious doubt about it, may be just like the usb flash drive it is also susceptible to frozen and will not work with out warning, if just in case my usb backup drive will not function, is theres away of repairing it?

Okay I own an old computer a Compaq Presario 7462 with 320 MB of SDRAM, 500 MHz AMD-K6 processor and a 10GB Maxtor HDD. According to my specification sheet I have a
Integrated 2X AGP 3D Graphics Integrated 64-bit hardware-accelerated 3D graphics. BUT I JUST FOUND OUT i have PCI slots on the motherboard Im confused on which video card to buy. When I attempt to play videos on youtube for example it's really choppy and laggy. In addition ads load kind of slow and lag a bit 2wo. I would like to know what video card you would recommend and if It is the video card at all. PLEASE HELP WOULD APPRECIATE IT!

The last time I bought a desktop pc, only needed to know the most current version of pentium. I go to research now, theres not a single description including the word perntium, I am hit with terminology I don't recognize, options I can't tell if I need , bytes have become gigs HELP!!! I am on a budget and just want a pc thats funtional. What the heck does dual core mean and do I need it? If one doesn't choose dual core, what does one choose instead? What size HD? How much RAM? Anyone with advice on the best computer for the best price, and the specs. I should look for when buying would be much appreciated.

When I turn on my computer it goes through the load screens and passes the welcome screen but the OS never opens...it goes to a screen where it just displays my desktop wallpaper with no start menu (task manager opens with ctrl/alt/delete, that's about it). I tried booting up in safe mode to fire up system restore or fix the problem manually but I have the same problem in safe mode...no start menu or applications ever boot up.

Is there a way to open system restore from the boot menu or any other ways to fix this problem without formatting my hard drive?

Downloaded RCT3 and Doom 3...They both look great (from what I'm used to).......

Because in large-capacity hardisk(40-80GB) seagate, there is no slave that you can put-on a jumper, only "master, cable select and limits capacity to 32GB". How can I put a slave hardisk using only one ide slot?

After I formatted the partition and got through the blue DOS-esque screen while installing windows, it automatically rebooted my computer. Upon the reboot, the computer continuted to boot from the CD instead of the HDD. Assumeing that it was a problem with the boot order, I tried nearly every combination through the BIOS, and also tried disabling all drives except the HDD. I've even tried removing the XP setup CD and pulling out the IDE cable from the CD drive, but I need to have the drive working to complete the other part of the setup. Anyone have experience solving this type of problem? All help is greatly appreciated!

I recently installed windows XP on my new computer. I inserted the XP disk and then followed the steps, eg. creating and formatting the partition. However, after the drive was partitioned, and it the computer restarted (this is normal iirc), it continued to boot from the XP setup CD, asking me to perform the same steps that I had already completed. Through the BIOS, I changed the boot order, and even disabled the loading of peripheral devices, but this did not work. If I take the disk out of the drive, I receive an error: Disk Boot Failure, Insert system disk and press enter. FYI, I believe that there is nothing wrong with the setup disk itself, nor the partition that was created. I simply need a way to break this loop! Has anyone had a similar problem and could help me out? All assistance is appreciated!

I am attempting to attach a Dynatron P33G cooler to an Intel DQ965GF motherboard (Socket LGA775 type), and it seems impossible, though both claim to be compatible with one another. The X-shaped mount doesn't even come close to touching the holes on the motherboard, and even then, nothing came with the cooler or motherboard to actually keep the cooler attached to the motherboard. There are no screw threads or anything. What am I missing here?

Okay i've taken my computer apart and noticed P8 P6 P4 P2 are not connected to anything. I Have a tsstcorp dvd-rom ts-h352c I've tried removing and readding a hardware its a 2 year old computer HP Pavilion a1250n I tried Downloading TS-H352C_CI00.bin off of samsung but its asking how to open it? It used to charge whenever I plugged it in but now when i plug it in it wont charge. It'll charge if i put it in certain ways but it's not like it used to be. I thought it might be an electrical probelm in my house or something but i plugged it everywhere and all of them didnt work unless i moved it in different posistions but if i move it, the charging goes off. Also earlier when I plugged it in the whol screen went white and stayed white till I took the batterie out. what's wrong there
