i have an intel duo core processor. also is there an upgrade(get a better ram card, a better graphics card) that will make my games run better

I bought a new laptop from DELL this time last year. It's top of the range 1024 RAM, Centrino Duo Processor etc. Basically it's giving me trouble lately :(. At first the battery broke, it now has to be plugged in at all times. The wireless on my network card no longer works.

My latest problem is the monitor. It flickers black every 2 seconds for about 3 seconds and i cannot use it. The laptop cost me 1500 and is now no longer usable. Is there anything I can do to fix the monitor. My old Dell laptop lasted for 3 yrs and this desktop is only 6 months old but is perfect!

Please help!

My original was 1918 MB (1.9) gigs then a added 512mb to make 2430MB (2.4) gigs and my score on my vista computer went down from 5.9 to 4.6

after about 5 years with my pc and xp lappy, with the new mac os comming out and whatnot, i am dazzled at the capabilities and i absolutely love the machines themselves, they are so beautifull! so, is there anything vital i can do on a pc that i cant do on a mac? like downloading torrents, and lac of software compatibility? thanks!! or, if your not a mac fanboy or girl, would you recomend vista? i admitt, when i saw vista on microsoft months before it came out, i was BREATHLESS! its just so beautifull and amazing, but supposedly mac is easier and i see all the smart people with them so i kinda want one know. so what do you recomend?

I was given a hp photosmart c3180 all in one printer but the person had lost the software. I heard that you could go to a certain website to get it. I need the website because I lost it. I also have another problem I'm not good with computers but the last time I tried to go to a website I was given to go to regarding this it wouldn't work. Is it because I have firewall? My wife has a computor & I do also in our home. We stay off line more than on line. The cable box lights will all be on and we are also using a router because of the second computor. When we go off line the cable box is still lite up and the router is flashing. when I un plug the router power supply an plug it back up, we are on line again. It seems like I have to do this more and more. Do you think our router is bad.The router is not wireless. ** Thanks **

With the quad prices dropping in July 22 I am considering buying a Quad. But is the Q6700 worth the $300 extra or should I just get the Q6600.

I will be running thi son an nforce 680i chipset mobo, 8800gts 640mb, 2GB patriot ram, 150GB 10k WD raptors

Might consider overclocking but for now Ill just stick to the stock speeds

hey guys, got a really weird problem here, i just custom built a new system, AMD Dual Core CPU 3800 with 1 gb ddr 2 ram, (used my old video card Nvidia GeForce 6600) and i also have a 19 inch widescreen LCD monitor i bought from Westinghouse. its worked fine untill about 3 days ago i turned my pc on and all the words were like a aqua blue tint, then it loaded to windows and same thing, every thing had a blue tint. idk if the monitor is bad? or maybe its cuz my video card is old? i read some where that my vga cable could have a short. the problem is, i didnt purchase the extended waranty with this and my 30 days to return it to best buy is up. When i hit the desk the monitor sits on gently, it goes back to normal color, and or sometimes it will flash then go back to normal. any help or suggestions would be appreciated. thank you.
