the architecture ... but having had both and amds' in laptops i can tell u the felt speed difference between them is negligeable .... not too many people do heavy duty multitasking on a laptop is my guess but if u do get the core duo ..

Actually they are based on pretty much the same architecture, the main difference is that the Pentium M is a single core processor and the Core Duo is a dual core processor.
