Here's a great little program.

It's called FreeRAM XP Pro and it's FREE.

It is available from http://www.download.com This program puts a little RAM meter on the System Tray and shows how much RAM you have remaining that you are not using at any given time. The RAM meter is displayed all the time in the task bar. Once it is installed you can right click on the little meter, then click on RESTORE and it will open the RAM display window. You can tweak the settings so it will display your CPU usage also. Then just click “Minimize” and then “To System Tray” to return to the Task Bar.

If you'd like to know almost everything about your PC go to http://www.belarc.com and download and install the Belarc Advisor. It will give you a summary of all your hardware and software.

Hope this helps.

Go to Task Manager...Performance tab. Look under "Physical Memory".

Total = How much is installed.
Available = How much is currently available.

Good luck!

Yes--if you go to the Google Home Page--then find gadgets--there is one that has 2 dials that look like the speedometer on a car--one is for processor usage, the other is for memory. I have it on my pc--kinda fun and informative.
