Go to www.hp.com
Click on the software and drivers downloads button
Enter in your product name photosmart c3180
Choose your operating system
Click on the full feature driver and save it to your computer
Then double-click the saved file to install the drivers and software, following the prompts.

Here is the link to the drivers and manuals for your printer, you can download them there and then just press the file that has and exe file extension at the end to make it execute.
It will walk you through setting it up.
With respect to your not being able to open a web site, without the error message I can't tell you what was wrong. Your firewall could be stopping you it depends on how you have it set up but it could also be that the site was down when you tried, it happens.

ok whats probably happening is your internet connection is blocking it or your firewall could be doing the same thing what you want to do is go into your network connections(go to start then on the right it will say connect to then go to show all network connections then go to your internet connetction and disable your firewall
then
go to this site

and download the patch or driver and install and hook up your printer and your fine

Head over to http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=1146331&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us and just under the green bar, select what operating system you have.
When it asks if you want to save or run this file, choose run.

go to www.hp.com and click a link that says somethign like "support and downloads" you need the drivers for it. you type in the model and number and it will birng up a list of files you need.. click on those files to download them.. once downloaded, click on the files you just downloaded to your computer and run them. problem solved
