For example, I want to print out a picture that is 7 centimeters by 9 centimeters. How can I do that on the computer and just print it out so it will be 7x9 centimeters?

I have a dell with two processors (it's a workstation, and I don't mean dual-core) that I want to use for gaming. My question is, wont having two processors take up a lot of power along with the video card? Here are the basic specs:

Two Xeon CPUs at 3ghz
3 gigs of RAM

And the video card I want is an 8800gts (320mb). According to dell, the power supply is 650 watts. Is that enough?

I have a Dell 1501. 2Gb RAM, AMD Athlon 1.7Ghz dual core processor, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 with 256Mb. I mostly want shooting games. I want the games to run smooth. I know I don't have a good computer to run games, but I can run some without problem.

I have an HP dv6500t notebook with a Intel Core 2 T7300 which only comes out as 4.5 on windows vista score. My friend alos has an hp notebook with one of the original core duo (I dont remember which on but its either 1.73 or 1.83 ghz). He said his score was 4.8 for his processor but I think he might have meant 3.8. Is this possible? and what the heck is the point of the scores

I was wondering why Command and Conquer 3 was running slowly on my computer and discovered that my video card does not have enough RAM. This is the requirement for the game:
Minimum: With Vista, 128 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (NVIDIA GeForce 6100 or greater; ATI Radeon 9500 or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.)

My video card is NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 with 65MB of video RAM. Using Vista.

What should I do? Is there a quick solution to this such as allocating unused hard drive space to use a virtual memory? If so, how? Or is the only way is to get a new video card? Thanks.

I have a Mac Powerbook G4, and it needs to have the battery reconditioned. I only get an hour of battery life out of it. I had an old IBM once that I would just plug in, and open a program, and it would charge and discharge the battery, and it would add a little more time to the battery. (it did this several times in a row) and I just want to know if there is a program like this for Mac.

(specs of my laptop are: 1GHz PPC G4, 768MB of RAM, 120GB hard drive. its a 12" model)

Thanks in advance!

I am thinking of purchasing a computer with a Quad-core processor (Intel C2D Q6600), and was wondering how exactly will 4xC architecture will improve the performance of the software that I run. Specifically, with regard to older programs that are *not* programmed to take advantage of multi-core computing.. will I still see a speed surge when I run them on such a computer?

Or... is the advantage of multi-core processor simply that I will be able to convert a powerpoint to pdf AND play Oblivion at the same time with no detrimental effect on framerate.. but it will be just the same experience if I *didn't* run a 2nd process (i.e. converting stuff to pdf).

Thanks!!!!

I have a 4 year old computer who's power supply just took a dump. I removed the hard drive and put it in a different computer so that I can access the data.
I placed the old hard drive into the other computer as a slave. How can I access the files in the old drive?
I clicked on the "c:drive" on MY COMPUTER. It listed the folders of all the users in the old hard drive but it does not list the files that were on the old drive.

Please help.

My wife has an HP laptop that the motherboard crapped out on. We are trying to figure out if we can pull the harddrive out of it, and somehow install it into a destop system (internally or externally) so we can get some of the files off of it. Any ideas or suggestions. (I'd rather not let geek squad do it)

OK, so I've had my somewhat rubbish AMD AthlonXP 2000+ PC for five years now, and I'm upgrading to a Intel Core 2 Q6600. It has 2GB DDR2 RAM, and a 512mb nVidia 8500GT graphics. My current PC has around 700mb RAM, and some 128mb graphics.

Now obviously it's more powerful, but what will the difference be like? Will it be like a 1.1litre Vauxhal Corsa racing a Bugatti? Or is that a little bit too drastic?

However, it says the Q6600 only has a clock speed of 2.4GHz - hardly impressive. What do four cores do, and how does this processor perform against high-end single-core CPUs? You know, the ones with clock speeds of like 3.6GHz etc
