I was wondering why Command and Conquer 3 was running slowly on my computer and discovered that my video card does not have enough RAM. This is the requirement for the game:
Minimum: With Vista, 128 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (NVIDIA GeForce 6100 or greater; ATI Radeon 9500 or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported.)

My video card is NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 with 65MB of video RAM. Using Vista.

What should I do? Is there a quick solution to this such as allocating unused hard drive space to use a virtual memory? If so, how? Or is the only way is to get a new video card? Thanks.

Hm. Well it's the video card that came with my laptop. HP Pavilion dv9000. I'm new to how laptops function, is there a compartment that's easily accessible so I can just switch it with a different video card? Or is it built into the motherboard? And which video card is inexpensive? Thanks.

Yeah, sorry, it's video RAM, on the video card. Nothing you can do to fix other than getting new card. But honestly, cards with 128MB of RAM are fairly cheap. Go for 256 is my recommendation.

BTW - Your Vista will love you for it...

OOO- Strike all that, this is a laptop? Ouch... You can't upgrade video cards in laptops...

first of all video games have not got any video ram. It sounds to me like your video card in straight forward terms has sixty 4 meg of video ram and additionally you want a video card with a minimum of 128 meg. in basic terms considering which you un-put in a interest would not advise you get greater video ram, you in straight forward terms benefit extra area on your no longer ordinary force.

nah its not RAM memory, its talking about video memory.

So the point is that you need a better graphics card, but try updating your current video card( even though it might not help)

the reason you cant make virtual video memory is because video memory is super fast, 5,200 rpm cannot even come close to the speeds of a video card.

There is not really an easy way to increase gracphis card memory. the only thing you can do is to buy another graphics card. Make sure you buy the right one if you have an agp port or Pci express.

Get a new video card and might as well go to 256 while you're doing it.
