I have a Dell 1501. 2Gb RAM, AMD Athlon 1.7Ghz dual core processor, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 with 256Mb. I mostly want shooting games. I want the games to run smooth. I know I don't have a good computer to run games, but I can run some without problem.

Despite what everyone is saying on here, it will play WOW,Diablo 3, and crysis 2 to an extent. How do I know? Right now I'm using a Geforce GT430, on a core 2 quad with 4gb ram. The 430 is basically the older version of the GT520. As long as you keep the resolution at around 1366X768, you'll be ok. I manage to play skyrim, Assassins creed revelations, Just cause 2, and a ton of other games on it, on high settings with perfectly playable frame rates. I wouldn't recommend this card though, it is only a cheap budget video card. The only reason I have one, is I had a much better video card that went bad on me, and i didn't have the money to replace it with something equal, at the time and also intend to build a new system anyway. You might want to upgrade the video card, especially if you intend to use a higher resolution screen. I, personally would save my money and get an i5 based system with atleast a Geforce GT 550ti. i7 is pointless for gaming. You'll notice very little difference in frame rates. Video cards are the most important, for gaming performance. That i3 will do the job, but more and more games are recommending quad core these days.

Im not to sure where the ATI radeon Xpress 1150 stands in terms of performance, but if im reading the name correctly your on a laptop? Assuming that is a DECENT card, the only downfall of yours i see would be the 1.7Ghz processor, other then that you should be able to run a few good shooters (Call of Duty, Battlefield 1942, and other such dated games) Just fine, ill check to see if that card is decent and get back to ya for a more detailed answer (BTW, if possible, buy an NVIDIA card, theyre more widely accepted for first person shooting games.) =]

Loads of games will run on your computer - you have one powerful computer there. Games like the Sims 2 anf Flight Simulator will run on your computer also Gears of war. Just go into your local Game store or Gamestation store and have a look at the pc section and basiclly there are all of your options.

Cheers.

Battlefield II and Battlefield 2143 are really good games and are not too demanding like Ghost Recon advanced weapons which is a little more demanding.
