this is the only affordable ram i could get that was DDR-2 800
Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400 2GB Kit DDR2-800 XMS2-6400 Xtreme Performance Memory and i am getting an Abit AB9 P965 for the motherboard so with a 1.8 core 2 duo will this be a good system to overclock and i need ideas on a good CPU fan for it

I just got a new laptop for my birthday and I'm going to FL for the week and I want to take some of my older games with me.

Its a brand new Sony VAIO VGN-N100 that my parents bought me right before everything went Vista so I would not try to toss it out of a window (but of course they waited till about 30 minuts ago to give it to me).

Saying that there is a game that I want to play that will run on 98 or even 95 would it be ok to play on a laptop? I know I cant play liek the Sims to and such but just my smaller older games?

okay so i put in the cd (ghost bootable rev. 8) click on cd-rom ide one which is connected to my cd drive then i get the dos program i want to know what comand promts because i have some but their wrong (i thought in order to get to the menu was (1.c:)(2.cd ghost)(3.ghost) then the menu would appear but dos said they were invalid i just want to know the comand promts to enter ghost menu

I did some research and people are getting 4.5 and higher on the model before mine which is the x1300 256MB.

Why is my card which is 512MB and overclocked at 600mhz only getting a 3.9 on the vista score?

its a pci express card.

everything else is over 4.5

I have downloaded the Windows Vista drivers from the Dell website over and over again. I have installed them over and over again. And, I have restarted my computer over and over again. What am I supposed to do???

okay addware is pain in my side and i have a separete partition of a backup to reboot my hard drive i put in the cd waiting for the dos mode to come up i need the words to enter to acsess that partition to reformat my harddrive to completly wipe my adware that always seems to be in "c:windows/system32"

My laptop has 2GB of RAM with a Core 2 Duo 1.6Ghz processor. Should I just go ahead and disable paging; meaning bring it down to zero, or should I have about a gig or so of virtual memory? Thanks

Just purchased & installed new external 160gb hard drive and moved MyMusic folder to new drive. Now when I open I-Tunes, all of my music has been wiped clean. No record of my purchased songs, and nothing in library. Music is still on Windows Media Player, but I had other songs (several) that I had exclusively on I-Tunes. Can anyone help me to locate, or find out what exactly happened? I figured this would be such a no brainer, now I feel like I have no brain! Please.... any help/expertise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! - Dan

Hi,

I don't know what is going on. I used to be able to plug in a USB drive or other USB device and windows would recognize and install it automatically. Now it doesn't anymore, with any USB device. The wizard comes up but asks me if I want it to connect to windows update to search for software and after it can't find anything it finishes and leaves me unable to use the new hardware. Why isn't it installing it automatically anymore? What is the problem?

I have a new HP Pavilion Media Center a1730n PC, it has a 320GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive in it, I want to add another one inside, I'm new to all this SATA and stuff, I'm used to older windows 98 computers with the ribbon cables for the hard drives, so I'm clueless on how this one works out, I don't know if I can even put in another drive in here cause i dont know what to look for in this type of machine, would a Seagate 300GB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive work in this machine as a secondary drive?

I received a used computer from my mother that was used in the small church office that she works in. The problem is, nobody ever defragged that computer. I even tried it using Safe Mode. I never even got it to 1% and I left it plugged in and running defrag for about 48 hours. The computer runs on WindowsMe. Is there anything I can do?
