Which will work better for a mid-end system, 2 mediocre cards running in dual SLI, or a single card for twice the price? Where is the breakeven price vs. performance point? (nVidia please)

I have no other use for it. It has one UBS port. It only has VGA out, not in. I heard that there is software you can use to do this, but the stuff I saw costs $30. Is there anything I can get for free?

By the way, I also want to invert the screen of the same laptop to be upside down. Again, is there any free solution?

Thanks in advance.

My 14.1" screen laptop has a max screen resolution of 1280x800. The higest bit of color is 32bit. I put it on 800x1000 and it made letter font size bigger and then I put it on 800x600 and it made the letter font size jumbo size. Is it better on your eyes you think to not put it on 1280 x800? or lesser? Why is it better to have higher resolution then if you dont use it?

Also what else is there that I can adjust to make it easier on my eyes? How do you adjust shade and contrast on the screen?

Thanks.

Hi, I have wasted about 12 DVDs because of this problem. I don't know what does this message mean.

(Internal Target Failure) - I use Nero 7.5

Now I don't know if my DVD Writer is not working or the DVDs are damaged.

I have an Compaq EVO d510 convertible mini tower (cmt). I am currently running a 220 watt ATX power source. Hp's quickspec on it reads as follows:

"ATX Power Supply – PFC with in 230V mode (115v/230V line switch)"

I don't know what PFC means, but I am looking into getting the following power source:

"Antec EarthWatts 380 Watt ATX12V v2.0 Power Supply"

The link to this item at CompUsa is:

I'm looking for something that pumps at least 300 watts for my new AGP video card (nVidia geforce 6200). I thought this would do it, but since I'm not the most computer savvy with PSU's I thought I would double check with the community. Any other thoughts on this power source? Thanks everyone!!

7th

PS: Does the video card have to be connected to the power source directly? If so, will this source connect to my AGP card?

Just recently moved into my rental flat, looking into having internet connection to my laptop. There is an existing landline but I don't know the phone number. How would I go about finding out the phone number as there has been no mails to confirm it? Do I really need to rent the landline in order to have the connection as I would prefer not to install a phone in the residence. So far been checking out all possible broadband offers and they seemed to be asking for the phone number! Your assistance would be gladly appreciated and cheers! : )

My Sony Vaio laptop was working fine till earlier. It shut off on its own and when I turned it back on it displayed an error message that Windows could not open because the file was corupted or missing....it wont do anything now but display a black screen with like barcode at the bottom of the screen. Any suggestions? Will getting a new Windows XP installation disk fix the problem? What caused it and how do I prevent it from happening again?

A font size on a 14.1" screen should be the same as on a 15.4" right? That means as long as the resolution is the same, that they should be like the same when staring at them for 8 hours straight right?

I am considering getting a laptop with a 14.1 " screen, however I am worried that if i am on it for 8 hours straight that it would be worse on my eyes than a 15.4" screen. I like the lightness of the 14.1 inch in my lap, but do not want to strain my eyes too much. I think that the font size is the same though isnt it? Thats all that matters beside resolution, which should be the same.

I have an Compaq Evo N800c, It had a defective ram chip that caused it to Freeze, I noticed that there has been a recall on it but whenever I click the links to the HP website about getting a replacement they come up dead. I also can't find anything about the Recall on the website, but there are plenty of Web News Articles about the recall. Any ideas?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

very easy
1 - On your desktop - go to Printers
2 - right click on the printer you want to use
3 - on the menu select properties
4 - In Properties click on the Sharing Tab
5 - Click Share This Printer then give it a name.

On your LapTop
1 - Go to Printers
2 - Add A New Printer
3 - In the wizard choose A Network printer then click next
4 - select connect to this printer
5 - in the box type \\name of desktop\name of printer click next
6 - set as default click next
7 - finish

I've done all this and it says it can't recognize the printer name. Do I need another device like a printer driver? Help!!!!!!!!
