I would hope that you first have a Printer/Scaner/Copier combo unit, and are not trying to COPY with a standard printer.

If the copy is not working, try uninstalling and RE-installing the driver.

First, make sure your printer is ON..sounds simple but most people dont even think of this..
Then unplug the cable from the printer to the pc, and plug them back in again.. Try to print a test page
.If that dosnt help, you probably need to reinstall the printer drivers, they should be on a CD that came with the printer.
First, I would delete the printer from START>PRINTERS and FAXES, and then delete your printer there.
Reboot the computer and then reinstall the printer drivers.
That should do the trick

Your ink cartridges come with a small plastice band over the jets. Did you remember to remove the plastic before you installed the cartridges?
If so, did the printer sit for a long time, sometimes the jets can clog up and you need to get new cartridges.

That means your printers ink is gone. If nothing inside moves, then that means its busted.
