Your best bet is to work with a memory specialist like crucial technology. They have a great tool to make sure you get the memory you need. With your order will be explicit installation instructions. They will tell you exactly what panel to remove and how to install the modules you need.
You can use http://www.24houredeals.com/crucial-technology-coupons-324-mer.html to get free shipping for that order as well.
Good Luck

open your computer case and look for the ram sockets. they are located on the motherboard and to identify them, just look for some ram chips already installed. Then make sure you either have an empty ram socket, or if you're replacing the existing ram chip(s), then you simply remove the one(s) that is/are installed and replace them with the one you bought. It is a simple plug-in procedure. I am assuming you have checked compatibilty issues because that is an imperative first step in this process.

It's very easy. On the bottom of the laptop there should be a rectangular panel with a screw in it. Your laptop uses RAM called SODIMM PC2-3200 and you can find it pretty much anywhere. Once you have it, remove that panel, line up the ram, and snap it in. I recommend at least a 512MB stick.

The last thing you need is about 10 different users all typing what to do.. I can show you. Click the URL to watch a video about how to install RAM. Watch what to do:

Hope this helps, it really is so useful.
You must have Java and Quicktime to view.

Turn the laptop off. Remove the cover. Insert the memory. Replace the cover. Switch on. It is very easy to do.

It's one of the easiest things to do.Usually all you need to do is line it up and push it in. There will be a notch that you will need to line up. This will keep you from putting it in the wrong direction.
The instructions from the ram should fill in the blanks. Go for it.
