A font size on a 14.1" screen should be the same as on a 15.4" right? That means as long as the resolution is the same, that they should be like the same when staring at them for 8 hours straight right?

The "size" involved with font is designed to fit the ratio of the screen. Another words, a 14.1" screen will display the same amount of text, in width, as a 50" screen because the pixels are much smaller. Resolution is different in that a paragraph viewed at a width of 1200 res. takes up 4 lines, but when this same amount of text is viewed at a resolution width of 800.. it now takes up 7 to 8 lines in order for it to be viewed completely. Imagine the difference one would see if this were 40 lines of text including 3 or 4 images.... yeah, we're not talking about strain here.. we're talking about a totally different looking page between the two widths altogether. So now you're saying darn!.. I gotta make two of each page in order for them to look the same in the two most popular display width. Not so, confine the width to the smaller of the two by placing your codes within a table set to a specific width.

The default font size is 3, many users have their default set at 4 or 5 for better viewing. If you used font size=4 to increase the size of your text, those already set at 4 will see no difference.. those set at 5 will actually see a decrease by one. Use increase to 5 decrease to 2 instead. These are called "logical tags" in that they adjust the size of your text, according to the default size already set by the user viewing that particular page.

Screen size makes no difference...
Smaller screens simply emit less UV and light into our eyes.

As long as you take regular breaks and stare way from a screen for a couple of seconds every couple of minutes you will be fine.

I do not recommend staring at a screen for 8 straight hours.

As long as the refresh rate of your mon/screen is 85 hz or above it should not matter what size the font is, as it's the refresh rate that "mixes" with surrounding light that can give you headaches etc.
