According to Dell CS this procedure completely removes all past data and makes it unretrievable by any means. I've read some opposing views on Yahoo answers. If not, how about some of the commercial 'wipe clean' products out there? Or, as some have stated is a hammer the only true option? Thanks

I'm in the market for a new printer and notice that alot of them have the option to connect it to the pc with either USB 2.0 or Firewire. I know the difference between the two but what is the advantage of using firewire to connect a printer?

I have a custom built gaming computer I purchased a couple of years ago for $5000. I'm getting ready to purchase a new one and would like to get an idea of how much to sell it for. It has an ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe motherboard with an AMD Athalon 64 FX-55 2.61 GHz processor. 1GB of RAM, Two 150GB hard drives running RAID stripping so it sees it as one 300GB hard drive. Dual (2) nVIDIA 7800 GTX video cards running SLI and a 650 watt power supply. I'm not sure what type of sound card I have. The only other thing is a DVD ROM drive and an aluminum Shark case. I'm playing slots, and I just want to hit enter to have it start instead of clicking the mouse. It has no option for that in the game - but in general is there a way to set up a keyboard to do that?

Is there any way to check to see if your memory stick is going bad... other than the fact that your computer starts acting funny over a period of time?
Other than buying a new stick and seeing if there is a difference, perhaps there is a freeware program out there to download and do the diagnostics?????

OK, I found out my next door neighbor has wireless internet from my psp and i can access it right on the right side of my house if i hold my psp right next to the window... (neighbors wireless router is on the left side of his house facing the right side of mine)

I just got the battlefield 2 game and i want a joystick to fly planes with. I have a joystick(microsoft sidewinder 3d pro) but it supposed to go with windows 95, i don't have a port on the back of my computer that it will fit in, and i don't have the drivers anymore. I have an HP Media Center PC and if I get a new joystick what are your suggestions, what have you had a good expierience with or have been looking at that looks like a good one(if you can it would be helpful if you listed the price along with it)? Or is there a way to get my sidewinder 3d pro working on my computer(an adapter?)

the screen is either blue, snowy looking, or turns back off alltogether. the power is on the tower and lights flash on the floopy and cd dirves. I have tried old recovery disks and origional software cd's in various orders. Nothing seems to change. I took the tower sides off and looked for loose or burnt pieces and cant see anyting except dust. Someone told me it would not be the hard drive because nothing would happen at all if that was the case. It is an old windows 98 computer and not worth investing in execpt my daughter wants a computer and this is all i can afford. What do you think the deal is? Motherboard, processer, hard drive, or what? How do I check.?
