I have the Dell Inspiron 9300 17" screen and I am very happy with it. Any computer I have bought was a Dell due mostly to the amazing customer service. I can't comment on HP, never owned one.

hp, is totally better, trust me, they have way more choices and they are just totally neat, and like you can do alot with a laptop from them, you can even put memory cards, floppy disks, cd's, and dvdz in them!
