Assuming I have the available space, how many internal IDE hard drives can I install in my computer? What will each be called if I have 3 total (one primary and two secondary's) and how should the jumper switches be set? Is this common practice and is it advisable? If not, why not?

MY "rig? if u can call it that, came with windows preinstalled on my hard drive, so i dont need the microsoft disks. I am wondering if i cam upgrade just the motherboard, simply to come from an agp to pci 16x.

I currently, have the following:
p4 2.8. cpu with HT (fsb 800) (stock)
1gb ddr (400) ram (orig was 512, another 512 came later)
ATI all in wonder x800xt (256mb) AGP (bought later)
1x 100gb maxtor (bought later)
1x 120gb seagate(stock)

asus micro atx mobo

SO can i put in a new mobo and keep everything else same? (other than video of course).

I'm a senior in high school and I want a Macbook for my graduation gift. Iv'e done lots of research and I'm pretty sure I want the black one.

I've heard the white ones get discolored. I'm also 100% sure I want a Mac because I'm interested in web design and media etc.

Is this a good choice? Also what are the cons of getting the black one?

if i add another PCI Geforce mx 4000 to my pc could i use 3 displays running VGA? this is what i have 1 on board Intel i810 and one PCi Geforce mx 4000. i am now running 1 17in Compaq 7600 on the Geforce mx 4000 and 1 17in KDS xtreme Flat on the on board Intel i810.i have another 17in display.so if i add another PCI video card can i use ALL 3 of them at one time and use the S-video for my TV?

I was using my pc to the max and it turned off on it's own. The alarm sounded so I unplugged the pc. The next day it would not restart so I put a new power supply in it and the pc restarted, but would not reboot. There was an error telling me my cpu was damaged. and must be replaced. I have a feeling that if I replace the cpu. I will just find out that my motherboard will be pooched as well. I never had this problem before, but I'm sure someone out there has and could share there experience with me as to what they had to do to get things fixed up.. thanx Eddie.

I am building a computer, and on the motherboard it will have 6 sata3.0gb headers with raid 0. I want to have my main drive sata 3.0gb, but i do not want it to be apart of the raid. Will it appear in the raid? Can i choose what drives to be in the raid? Would i select what partition to be in the raid?
