Can anyone tell me exactly what auxiliary keys are on a keyboard?

I am having a test with typing in th emorning can anyone tell me what or where they are? Aren't they the ones on the top row above the home row?

Depends on the keyboard :-)

But in general, the Function key -- the top row, are aux keys.
