I'm a senior in high school and I want a Macbook for my graduation gift. Iv'e done lots of research and I'm pretty sure I want the black one.
I've heard the white ones get discolored. I'm also 100% sure I want a Mac because I'm interested in web design and media etc.
Is this a good choice? Also what are the cons of getting the black one?

I have a Powerbook G4 and I love it. Macs are great for design work. I am going to school for Graphic Design/Printing. The Black Macbooks are pretty sharp and I have not heard anything bad about them. Make sure you tell apple you are in school, you will get a discount.

A friend of mine has a black MacBook. I've noticed that you can see the fingerprints and greece marks on that black surface pretty easily. Also the black MacBook is a lot more expensive than the white. I'm not sure if the black MacBook has any more power and speed than the white MacBook.
I'd go for the speed and computing power first and screw the looks.
